The Facts

OUR BEGINNINGS:

ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ARTS

Academy for Dramatic Arts is a non-profit group that began out of the Berea Area Ministerial Association. The association dreamt of a place where every performer can grow, learn and be active in the performing arts without concern for economic resources, past experience or skill level.

The members of the association gathered a group of 20 concerned citizens with the love for the arts and raised the initial funds needed to run the academy for one year time. Our first show, Jungle Book Kids had 13 kids in the cast. Since then our academy has grown to include our Theatre for Beginning Artists, Youth Theatre and Main Stage theatre, Summer Theatre Camp as well as partnering with the city of Berea to provide performing arts classes.
